As a third-generation Uhl and the current President and CEO of Queen City Motors, I take great pride in continuing our family legacy. My journey with the dealership began before I was even old enough to drive—working as a lot attendant after school and on weekends, washing and preparing the 30–50 vehicles on our lot. My parents or older brother, Jeff, would drop me off, instilling in me the work ethic that still drives me today.
Throughout high school, I worked in the reconditioning department and transitioned to full-time after graduation. For the first few years, I traveled extensively with Jeff to auto auctions, learning the art of buying and selling vehicles. When I wasn’t on the road, I was in the showroom with my father, learning how to connect with customers and close deals.
As I grew into the business, I recognized that while our old-school approach had served us well, there was room for modernization. In 2001, I spearheaded the development of our first website and transitioned our deal processing from pen and paper to a digital system. This marked the beginning of a new era for Queen City Motors.
With growth came the need for a larger team. What began as a three-person sales department—my father, brother, and me—quickly expanded as we hired additional sales staff. I eventually took on the role of Sales Manager, and by 2017, we had grown to six full-time sales professionals. That year, I appointed Travis Wilson as Sales Manager and moved into the General Manager position, focusing on refining our operations through improved processes, procedures, and leadership roles.
In 2022, Travis was promoted to General Manager, and I proudly assumed the role of President and CEO. Today, I remain committed to honoring the values Queen City Motors was built on while continuing to lead our team with a focus on innovation, customer service, and community trust.
As a third-generation owner, I was truly born for this business. Cars and helping people have always been my passion, and I consider it a privilege to carry on the legacy of Queen City Motors. There’s nothing more rewarding than finding a rare, pristine vehicle and matching it with the perfect family who will love it just as much as we do.
One of the most fulfilling parts of my role is watching people grow within our organization. We proudly hire young talent straight out of school and invest in training them to become certified technicians. It’s incredible to watch their skills and confidence develop over time.
For over 50 years, Queen City Motors has been a cornerstone of our community, and we take that responsibility seriously. Whether it’s resolving a problem in our Service Department or helping a customer find the right vehicle within their budget, I find joy in making a difference every day.
No two days are the same, and I continue to learn and grow right alongside our team. This business has taught me so much, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to lead it with purpose, integrity, and a deep commitment to our customers and community.

Hi! My name is Colby I am 21 years old and I have the awesome privilege of being the merchandising assistant here at QCM. My job includes a scramble of behind-the-scenes stuff, from inventory photos to window stickers, to making Facebook posts and I absolutely love it. When not taking pictures of different vehicles, I am most likely researching and sharing my opinions about the car industry on my automotive-focused Facebook page @Cars with Colby. While cars are my passion there is more to me than just looking at things with four wheels and a motor all day. My favorite title I hold right now is Uncle, I love being outside in nature getting dirty, and wrangling some animals (preferably snakes), during the fall I coach my alumni’s high school soccer team. If I’m not doing any of that there are only two other things I could be doing playing a round of disc golf, which I have been blessed to play at some pretty high levels or playing with my 30+ lbs dachshund named Luka.

I’m 22 years old born and raised in Cumberland. I have worked at Queen City for a few years now, and absolutely love my environment and all of the close bonds I have built. I have a daughter, Alaska, who was born in August of 2023 and has become a staple down here in the service department, having met all of my coworkers and quite a few of my customers. She lights up the room every time she’s here. I started out as the receptionist and worked my way up to service advisor and am extremely happy in my position and how much I have grown and learned while being here.

My work experience is mostly in restaurants at this moment. I come from a setting where I constantly meet new people and they become regulars. I know their orders before they get to the counter. That’s the type of person I am. I love when I have a relationship with someone that I can build on and grow. I’m a people person. I enjoy keeping my mind working and always trying to find something more to do with my time I always think there’s more to do. If I’m doing something for too long and not seeing improvement or growth I know there’s something that needs to be changed. I have been through a lot over the years and have been pretty self-sufficient and relying on myself. Not much contact with family as a result of that so I have a lot of room to meet new people and have them become family through the relationships I build. I don’t really think there’s anything I can’t do is kind of a bold statement but learning and getting better at something is what I know I can do so I apply that to everyone I meet and everything I do.
I came to Queen City Motors after working 4 years in the construction field as a laborer. It was the best change of my life. Working with customers, building relationships, and accomplishing goals is my true passion. Through this I have gained a family, made many friends, and have tons of memories to cherish forever. This is why I love my job. I’m a mama to a little girl named Wrenley, a bonus mama to Brayden, and a doggie mama to Emma and Axel. I spend my free time with them, and my fiancé Brandon. We love to go fishing, play in the river, and take day trips making memories together. I’m a family-oriented, self-motivating, and a driven person. My goal in life is to get “rich” not with money, but with love and family. Success to me is being happy and helping others be happy too.
