27 Years of Experience
I’m Tim, I am a 3rd generation Uhl and Owner of Queen City Motors. I started working at Queen City Motors as a lot attendant before I could drive. My older brother Jeff or my parents would drive me to work after school and on weekends to wash the vehicles on the entire car lot 30-50 vehicles. I continued working in the Recondition department all through High School and after graduation I started full-time. For the first 3 or so years my father and owner at the time had me go on the road with my brother Jeff to learn how to buy and sell vehicles at the auctions. When I wasn’t traveling to and from auctions, I would work in the office selling with Dad. While the auctions were fun and I learned a lot, I knew I was better suited at the dealership dealing with customers and helping Dad sell vehicles full time. While learning that side of the business, that’s when I realized how old school we were. Not that that was a bad thing, but it was time to make some changes. 1st thing was in 2001 building our website and building a computer system to complete car deals. “No more doing it all by pen and paper anymore” Next was adding sales staff to assist our growing customer base as our sales department consisted of my brother, my father, and myself. Over the next couple of years, we hired 2 additional representatives, then 3 then 4, etc. and I took over the sales manager’s duties. By 2017 we had 6 sales professionals, and it was time to assign Travis Wilson as our Sales Manager and I assumed all GM responsibilities. I spent the next 5 years implementing processes and procedures and new management positions to uphold them. In 2022 we assigned Travis Wilson as our General Manager of Queen City Motors, and I am now assuming the role of president and CEO.
I was born for this job, 3rd generation owner. I love this business. Cars and helping people are my passion. It’s so fun buying rare and pristine used cars, and then finding the perfect family to love it. In our shop we hire young people out of school and train them up to be certified technicians, it is awesome to see people grow and learn in this field. Our 50-year business plays an important part in our community, and we do so much to keep our community strong. I love helping people in so many ways, like in Service fixing an issue or in Sales with finding the perfect vehicle in their budget. I always learn something new every day about these businesses.

I have worked with Queen City Motors for more than five years, starting in February 2019. I started as a Sales Professional and moved into a Finance Manager role after two years, which also turned into a Sales Manager role as well. In 2023 I was promoted to General Sales Manager, where I work with other management to oversee the Sales Department. I look forward to work because it is always something different. It is never the same mundane routine, day in and day out. Also, because I have the opportunity to meet and get to know new people every day. I have had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know some amazing people over the years because of my role with Queen City Motors. In my free time, my girlfriend, Rachael and I love to travel anywhere and everywhere. We are always looking for the next getaway or place to adventure. We have become avid concert-goers and have seen Morgan Wallen, Luke Combs, Kenny Chesney, Post Malone, Zac Brown Band, Megan Moroney, and more just this year! We have a German Shepherd that we love like a child and enjoy going on walks and taking her to the beach!

First and foremost, The Customers! I love being able to meet new people and try my best to help them out. I also like it when previous customers stop by just to say hi, or even when they’re looking for their next vehicle, and they come back to us because they had such a great experience previously. Lastly, my co-workers, management, and ownership. They make it very easy to WANT to come to work, and I am blessed to be a part of this company!

I work a lot because that’s all part of being a manager, being there for the people that need you and always having an answer for them when they don’t have one for themselves, I’ve had 3 different manager jobs in my life since the age of 18, and I’m now 26. Outside of work, I go see my family who live about an hour away from me and I spend almost all of my time with my 2 dogs who are like my babies- they are my whole world!

Hi! My name is Colby I am 21 years old and I have the awesome privilege of being the merchandising assistant here at QCM. My job includes a scramble of behind-the-scenes stuff, from inventory photos to window stickers, to making Facebook posts and I absolutely love it. When not taking pictures of different vehicles, I am most likely researching and sharing my opinions about the car industry on my automotive-focused Facebook page @Cars with Colby. While cars are my passion there is more to me than just looking at things with four wheels and a motor all day. My favorite title I hold right now is Uncle, I love being outside in nature getting dirty, and wrangling some animals (preferably snakes), during the fall I coach my alumni’s high school soccer team. If I’m not doing any of that there are only two other things I could be doing playing a round of disc golf, which I have been blessed to play at some pretty high levels or playing with my 30+ lbs dachshund named Luka.

I’m 22 years old born and raised in Cumberland. I have worked at Queen City for a few years now, and absolutely love my environment and all of the close bonds I have built. I have a daughter, Alaska, who was born in August of 2023 and has become a staple down here in the service department, having met all of my coworkers and quite a few of my customers. She lights up the room every time she’s here. I started out as the receptionist and worked my way up to service advisor and am extremely happy in my position and how much I have grown and learned while being here.

My work experience is mostly in restaurants at this moment. I come from a setting where I constantly meet new people and they become regulars. I know their orders before they get to the counter. That’s the type of person I am. I love when I have a relationship with someone that I can build on and grow. I’m a people person. I enjoy keeping my mind working and always trying to find something more to do with my time I always think there’s more to do. If I’m doing something for too long and not seeing improvement or growth I know there’s something that needs to be changed. I have been through a lot over the years and have been pretty self-sufficient and relying on myself. Not much contact with family as a result of that so I have a lot of room to meet new people and have them become family through the relationships I build. I don’t really think there’s anything I can’t do is kind of a bold statement but learning and getting better at something is what I know I can do so I apply that to everyone I meet and everything I do.
I came to Queen City Motors after working 4 years in the construction field as a laborer. It was the best change of my life. Working with customers, building relationships, and accomplishing goals is my true passion. Through this I have gained a family, made many friends, and have tons of memories to cherish forever. This is why I love my job. I’m a mama to a little girl named Wrenley, a bonus mama to Brayden, and a doggie mama to Emma and Axel. I spend my free time with them, and my fiancé Brandon. We love to go fishing, play in the river, and take day trips making memories together. I’m a family-oriented, self-motivating, and a driven person. My goal in life is to get “rich” not with money, but with love and family. Success to me is being happy and helping others be happy too.
